Water cut in several areas

A 12 hour water cut will be imposed on 14 July from 8p.m. to 8a.m. on 15 July in the areas of Panchikawatte, Maligawatte, Mihindu Mawatha, Akbar Lane, Sebastian Street, Hultsdorf, Sangharaja Mawatha and Elphinstone theatre junction to Jethavana road in the Colombo district.

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board stated that this is due to the laying of new pipelines in the city under the Greater Colombo water supply and rehabilitation project.

Meanwhile, several other areas in Colombo district Rukmalgama, Mattegoda, Kesbewa, Piliyandala, Boralesgamuwa, Maharagama and Pannipitiya too will experience 18-hour water cut on 14 July from 9a.m. to 3a.m. on 15 July.
