Zahira College Colombo has organised the ‘World Arabic Language Day Prize Giving’ which will be held on 22 February at 10 a.m. at the Deshamanya M.T.A. Furkhan Hall, Zahira College. Ambassador of Palestine in Sri Lanka Zuhair M.H. Dar Zaid will be the chief guest, Fathih Institute of Sri Lanka Lecturer As Shaikh A.S.M. Naushad will be the guest of honour and Senior Lecturer of Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies University of Peradeniya Dr. M.S.M. Saleem will be the guest speaker. It will be held under the patronage of Principal of the College Trizvi Marikkar.
Japanese MPs in town
Japanese MPs Dr. Arai Hiroyuki and Matsushita Shinpei arrived in Sri Lanka to greet new leaders, promote investment and tourism between Japan and Sri Lanka and hold conferences with State leaders to improve agriculture, health services and provide financial assistance. They have visited Sri Lanka several times for the purpose of improving bilateral relations.
