WPC Budget passed

The Western Province Provincial Council budget, including the expenditure heads of the Health Ministry, was approved unanimously yesterday at a special session convened by the Chief Minister.

Expenditure heads under former PC Minister Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe of the Jathika Hela Urumaya were voted down at the last Budget debate recently. His ministries were taken over by Chief Minister Isura Devapriya on Wednesday. Thereafter, the council met yesterday to adopt the Budget.
