The Youth Department of the YMCA, who conduct the Saturday Youth Program for kids visited the Parliament, Waters Edge and ‘Apay Gama’ on 20 June.
The Youth Department of the Colombo YMCA conducts a varied and interesting program for children every Saturday at the Colombo YMCA Gymnasium from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
The weekly program consists of games, art, handwork, lectures, talks, etc and special programs are held on festival days like Christmas and Aluth Avurudha. In addition, there are programs to develop leadership and skills. Various camps, outreach programs and seminars are regularly held. Recently they held a very successful Prefects Leadership Seminar for schools which was attended by about 70 students. Several renowned speakers held interesting sessions at this seminar.
