YMMA delegation meets Palestinian Ambassador

Delegation of the National Council of YMMA of Sri Lanka met the Palestinian Ambassador Zuhair M.H. Dar Zeid at his Embassy. The Ambassador profusely thanked the people of Sri Lanka for the love displayed towards the Palestinians; the gifts and show of support, in spite of their difficulties.

YMMA Secretary Nawshad Jainudeen said no goods will be collected henceforth by YMMA Maligawatte. Whatever milk powder, biscuits and tea collected for the children of Gaza will be packed in cartons for easy distribution. These items will be sent either through Egyptian Embassy, Jordanian Embassy or Red Crescent as the Palestinian Embassy has no means to dispatch them before the expiry date of these products. Those who wish to send donations may do so by depositing to the YMMA Account No.007010283442 – HNB Pettah Branch – Swift code: HBLILKLX. YMMA Maligawatte is an incorporated body by an Act of Parliament and is also an approved charity. Tax rebates could be obtained on production of their official receipt.
