Second son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa Lieutenant Yoshitha Rajapaksa, who was recently assigned to the security detail of his father, has been transferred to the Navy Headquarters with effect from Monday. Navy Media Spokesman Indika Silva told the media yesterday that this transfer was made on service requirements. Earlier Rajapaksa was granted permission to join his father’s security team by the Defence Ministry on a request made by him.
