Zahira College Colombo observed two minutes silence for the former Zahira College Director of Studies and Founder of D.S. Senanayake College R.I.T. Alles, for his services rendered to the College from 1983 to 1986, at a Prefects Day ceremony at the Professor M.T.A. Furkhan Auditorium on 1 December. Deputy Inspector General of Police M.R. Latif (Director Training), Principal of the College Trizvi Marikkar, Deputy Principal Mohamed Riza, Senior Principal Ananda Ponnamperuma, ex Vice Principal R. Ravindran, Prefects of Discipline (POD), Maradana Police OIC L. Sooriyabandara, teachers, students and parents.
