Being responsible in times of pandemic

The age of governments being ‘responsible’ to citizens is long gone, at least in this region of the world. Nevertheless, still that ‘responsible’ tag is hung around the necks of the corporates and society respects corporates for that. 

At a crucial time like this, when the nation is at the brink of catastrophe, if a government is further shying away from whatever is left of being ‘responsible’, the corporate world should stand up to uphold the virtues of that tag ‘responsible’ hung around their necks and either call for a nationwide lockdown or go for a self-lockdown (voluntary) displaying their commitment to employees’ safety and interest of the nation.
