Foreign Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris refuting allegations of blasphemy over Priyantha Kumara’s brutal killing

said there was no clear evidence for charges of blasphemy in this incident.

“He has never insulted any religion. He has been working in Pakistan for over 10 years and there was no charge against him,” he told the media.

Prof. Peiris said the Government was in contact with the Pakistan government to get compensation for his family with two young children.
