In a milestone event, Bishop’s College, one of Sri Lanka’s oldest Anglican girls’ schools, celebrated its 150th anniversary with a poignant Founders’ Day Commemoration Service at the Church of St. Michael and All Angels in Kollupitiya. The Founders’ Day celebrations included the rededication of the historic 125-year-old Chapel of St. Agnes and the opening of a cutting-edge Advanced Level building, merging tradition with progress. Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, a distinguished past pupil of the school, graced the occasion. The Founders’ Day ceremonies marked the beginning of a week-long celebration of the school’s 150-year legacy.
