Occupants of flats, in the past, were able to dispose of their household garbage in the built-in unit of the flat meant for the disposal of garbage. Garbage from various floors gets landed in the ground floor to be collected by the garbage collector.
When the residents in the recent past did not comply with the request to segregate the garbage, bio-degradable and non-biodegradable, this facility was discontinued by being sealed.
Now that the segregation of the garbage has been done away with (as it is, I presume, now segregated through a mechanised process at the place where these garbage are disposed of), the occupants should be given the option previously enjoyed by them to dispose of the garbage.
Over to the condominium management authorities to restore this facility which will make life convenient for flat dwellers instead of coming on to the roads to personally handover the household refuse to the garbage collectors coming in their vehicles.
