An interactive workshop to provide leadership skills for Sri Lankan women in the workplace will take place on 27 and 28 August 2011 at the Ceylon Continental Hotel.

The two-part workshop on leadership development for talented women of Sri Lanka will cover many important areas that typically hold women back from reaching their full potential in the workplace and in society.

The participants will be supported to develop their natural leadership skills with greater confidence by engaging in a one year mentoring programme made up of successful Sri Lankan women mentors from leading local and international organisations.

Facilitation of this non-profit workshop is by qualified British Psychological Society (UK) Chartered Occupational Psychologist Dr. Chintha Dissanayake and Dr. Piyanjali de Zoysa, Senior Lecturer in Psychology, Medical Faculty, University of Colombo.

Dr. Dissanayake organised the first International Conference on Psychology @ Work in Sri Lanka in 2004 and continues to provide ongoing support for professional business development. Her style of work was described by Dr. Maxwell, Lead Client Partner at the Prime Minister’s Office in London, as “collaborative and cooperative.  We established an excellent working relationship based on honesty, trust and open communication.”

“A very friendly and highly practical workshop” and “the course was applicable to both performance related issues and our personal life ” were comments from Business Psychology workshop attendees on Dr. Dissanayake’s workshop on ‘Coaching for Success’ held in Colombo in October 2010.

Thanks to international sponsors of this event, the organisers are able to offer a few places at 25% and 50% discount. Please contact the organiser for more details at [email protected].
