Misleading the public

After the response from the Central Bank and several others, Dr. de Silva has had to grudgingly accept that the Central Bank’s method of computing GDP per capita income is correct. However, this is not the first time that Dr. de Silva has been found attempting to deliberately mislead the public.

I think it is about time that all of us in the business sector begin to ignore Dr. de Silva, because in Dr. de Silva’s mission to discredit the Governor and the Central Bank, he is actually hurting the business sector tremendously.  

The business community has been generally supportive of the UNP.  But, if the UNP can only come up with this type of poor quality person as their economic spokesman, they will lose even the tiny bit of support that they now have.
