Tackling mischief, corruption and misuse of power

It is very clear to the unbiased, national-minded public who have no particular political interests that politicians who are clamouring for change of Government are people who have been up to all the mischief, corruption and misuse of power during the last regime.

They probably believe that a change of Government will give them a chance to avoid the obvious consequences that they will have to face in the court of law. These include those who are already in remand as well as those against whom clear charges are being formulated by the authorities.

Their only hope is that they can have a government connected to the earlier regime to get away from answering the Police and the Judiciary. '

People will want the President and the Government to continue investigations expeditiously against those who robbed and misused public resources. People have confidence in the President that he will not at any cost relax or get back on the promises he made prior to 8 January, in respect of those who were involved in corruption and misuse of power.
