The news of the IMF Chief being arrested this week has provided the global media a ‘field day’. Why is this news so sensational? Is it because such acts are so rare in the world today or is it the relentless hunger of the global media for sensational news?
The more important question is: “What about the plight of so many million poor women who are brutally abused daily in many countries around the world?” Why isn’t this getting the attention it requires? Could Corporates multi-purpose their huge communications budgets to help reinforce basic human values? Of course, I am assuming they are ‘living’ these values!
