US silence on Israel: A reply

With regard to the letter titled ‘US silence on Israel’ by reader Mahinda Senanayake, I like to respond by saying there are thousands of Sri Lankans employed in Israel, comparatively receiving more decent salaries than local senior executives, with the majority being mothers of Sri Lanka. Would this Mahinda Senanayake take on the role of stepfather to all these families here? I suggest he do some exercise in his free time rather than criticising the USA. Sri Lankans talk international and local politics of which they know very little. Better take a walk. My beloved wife too is employed there. We have a grown up handicapped child with absolutely no support from any angle. I am yet to come up with my dream company apparently. I am the third generation of a business family, with the fourth generation also mature enough to take up responsibility. De Silva M.A. Vimukthi
