Anver Dole appointed as Emeritus President of IMSL

The Board of Management of the TMC and its members congratulate Anver Dole who has been appointed to the prestigious position of Emeritus President of the Institute of Management of Sri Lanka (IMSL) by the new Council under the leadership of Professor Sarath Kodituwakku.

 

The IMSL was incorporated by Act of Parliament No. 67 of 1988, and is the successor to the Sri Lanka Management Association established in 1978 by legendary management personality the Late Mallory Wijesinghe. The IMSL is the National Management Organisation representing Sri Lanka in the Asian Association of Management Organisations (AAMO), which comprises national bodies in management and leadership in the Asia-Pacific region.

Anver is the incumbent Chairman of TMC Kalutara and a Vice President of TMC’s Board of Management and has given leadership to several organisations in diverse fields. He was the first individual from the private sector to be elected President of the Institute of Chemistry, Ceylon, and is a past President of the Plastics and Rubber Institute of Sri Lanka. A former President of the Chemical Sciences Section of the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science, he was for many years the Chairman of the Employer Federation’s Employer Network on Disability and a long-time President of the Sri Lanka Branch of the Institute of Management Services, UK, formerly known as the Institute of Work Study Practitioners.

Anver is a past Worshipful Master in Freemasonry and a past District Governor in Lions Clubs International.
