ABC’s hit radio channels go mobile with Mstudio apps

Asia Broadcasting Corporation Private Limited, Sri Lanka’s number one media network, part of Rayynor Silva Holdings, expanded its offerings to listeners via mobile phones by being the first radio network in the country to launch an app on an Android platform.

Listeners now have the opportunity to tune into Asia Broadcasting Corporation’s hit radio channels Hiru FM, Gold FM, Sooriyan FM, Shaa FM and Sun FM using Android powered smartphones from anywhere in the world.

Hiru FM, Shaa FM, Sun FM, Gold FM and Sooriyan FM, in partnership with Microimage Mobile Media, built the mStudio platform in 2003, engineering a complete radio automation solution. Sharing the initial domain expertise to build the mStudio platform, it has evolved over the years to become one of the first end-to-end radio automation solutions ever to be built in the Asian region.

Commenting on reaching this milestone, Rayynor Silva, Chairman, Asia Broadcasting Corporation stated, “It is with great pleasure that we launch the mStudio app. Our stations are pioneers in the radio industry and this yet again sets a new benchmark, setting higher standards in the entertainment and radio industry.’’

Listener can access and download the apps for free at the Google Play store. The mStudio platform has evolved to become one of the best radio automation platforms ever to be built out of Asia, which powers many radio networks today. Initial apps launched offers users the ability to listen to respective stations, make requests, access program schedules and visit the Facebook page.  

Asia Broadcasting Corporation’s partner, Microimage, intends on continuously enhancing the apps with backend integration to the mStudio automation platform, offering users a richer and more interactive experience.
