Carolina Estate, managed by Watawala Plantations PLC, established an all-time record price of Rs. 540 per kilogram for a line of Medium Grown CTC PF1 grade at the Colombo Tea Auctions concluded this week.
The purchase was made by Vintage Teas and sold by John Keells PLC.
Carolina Estate situated in the cool climes of Watawala, has made commendable progress in the CTC Medium Grown category for this season.
