Barista Lavazza added a new facet to the Colombo National Museum with a swanky new café, the 11th in Sri Lanka by the first international franchise of its kind to be launched in the country. Sitting amidst the lush expanse of the Museum’s gardens, the café enjoys the cultural backdrop of this historic location, a rare setting for an urban coffee house. It offers coffee drinkers and diners a haven of tranquillity amidst the bustle of the city.
The cafe’s cosy indoor seating area is designed with all the trimmings that are the hallmark of Sri Lanka’s largest coffee chain. A spacious lawn offers the option of lounging outdoors with the perfect cup of coffee whilst taking in the view of the surrounding iconic buildings.
With ample parking space available from its main entrance on Green Path, Museum patrons could also access the café from the Museum should they wish to take a break from their journey into Sri Lanka’s past. Located amongst some of the most popular venues in Colombo, the cafe is in close proximity to the National Library, the SLTA, Nelum Pokuna and the Lionel Wendt.
With a wide range of hot and cold coffees and an extensive selection of meals for lunch and dinner, Barista Lavazza will serve a wide range of customers from its new outlet. The all-new breakfast menu, presents an ideal pit stop for the working individual heading down the well frequented Green Path stretch.
With 100% Arabica blends procured from the best coffee growing regions in the world, brewed to the exacting standards of the Italian coffee tradition, Barista Lavazza has been the place to go for the Sri Lankan coffee lover for over 10 years. The opening of the Colombo National Museum Café is part of a larger expansion plan whereby Barista Lavazza is continuing to extend its reach within and beyond the city as it provides more options to customers in Sri Lanka.
