The Children’s Upliftment Programme (CUP) is a Charitable Organisation whose Primary Objective is to build a positive future for the younger generation of the country.

The Sisudiriya Scholarship Scheme which provides financial assistance to the less privileged by high performing children, the Singithi Pothgula programme which encourages children to develop the habit of reading and improve the inherited creative talents and the setting up of IT Centres are some of the programmes conducted by CUP.

To achieve its objectives CUP enlists the support of philanthropists and other social welfare groups.

At the sixth Annual General Meeting of CUP, an Award of Appreciation is presented to the group or individual who has been a source of strength to CUP.

The Award of Appreciation for the year 2010/2011 was received by Sanasilli Foundation Chairperson and Attorney-at -law Tamara Nirmali Silva. The objective of the Sanasilli foundation, founded by Milinda Moragoda, is the upliftment of the lives of children, women and elders.
