Best Western Elyon Colombo recently launched their elegantly conceived, tasteful and mouthwatering new menu with a touch of fusion cuisine and Asian delights.
Offering a fresh approach to hospitality coupled with a unique guest experience, Executive Chef Rumesh Fernando has conceptualised a multi cuisine restaurant at Best Western Elyon Colombo.
The unique starters consist of perfectly matched combination of ingredients to liberate the taste buds with names such as ‘Crispy Cigar’ (Crispy cigar is a freshly made vegetable spring roll similar to a cigar, accompanied with mango passion fruit cleanser with a hint of fresh mint leaves) making every bite of the spring roll deliciously sweet, sour and fruity in flavour and not forgetting the chili plum sauce with a dash of chili flakes which makes this dish unforgettable; ‘Coco Calamari’ (Coconut Crusted Calamari, Garlic Aioli), and ‘Governor’s Prok-tail’ (Fresh Water Shrimps, Chilled Cantaloupe, Cocktail Sauce, Crispy Chiffonade, Hard Boiled Egg, Black olive) all designed to showcase our local produce offering guests a real taste of Eden.
Another noteworthy delectable on the menu is the Chef’s Signature salad, the yellow fin tuna slow cooked in olive oil served with sour apples, sliced avocado, dressed with roasted red bell pepper coulis and beetroot balsamic. A truly Sri Lankan lunch with traditional country rice and plenty of aromatic condiments is also available for those who wish to savour local flavours.
Fusion meals from the Grill include Maple Glazed Pork Chop served with apple mustard sauce, smoked gouda, bacon and egg mash and steamed broccoli or the more healthy option of poached wild king fish infused with lemongrass and served with steam broccoli.
A range of Italian dishes such as Creamy Seafood Tagliatelle served with mushrooms, bell pepper, sundry tomato, olives and light cream sauce; Penne Carbonara served with crispy bacon, egg and cheese to name a few.
