Blue Mountain Group Chairman Dr. Hiran Hettiarachchi accepts the award for ‘Best Property Consultant’ at the IFM Awards
Blue Mountain Group, the leading real estate major in Sri Lanka, was bestowed with the prestigious ‘Best Property Consultant’ award at the International Finance Magazine (IFM) Awards, held at the Landmark Hotel in London, UK, on 27 November. The first non-finance real-estate company in Sri Lanka to receive this award, the Blue Mountain Group is setting new professional standards in the real estate sector.
Within a relatively short span of five years, the Blue Mountain Group has grown into a conglomerate comprising of large-scale companies engaged in diverse aspects of real estate, including land sales, apartment/condominiums, construction, property management, valuation, surveying, legal services and more.

The prestigious award was bestowed at a glittering ceremony on 27 November in London at the iconic Landmark Hotel and was attended by, Dr. Hiran Hettiarachchi, Executive Director Dr. Rayomi Hettiarachchi, Group Managing Director Mohan Perera, Group Chief Executive Officer Vinesh Athukorala, Chief Executive Officer Ridma Madawatte and Director Thilan Anuradha, who jointly accepted the award in front of an distinguished gathering of guests.
Blue Mountain was also feted at the Asia Pacific Property Awards Summit (APPAS) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2015, with the highly coveted five-star award in the ‘Property Consultancy Marketing’ category for its innovative gated community developments.
Its latest project is a massive venture with 440 ultra-luxury apartment units, a conference centre and a shopping mall.
The company has entered into a strategic partnership with the Singapore-based P&T Group, in a bid to pioneer landmark real estate projects in the country.
