Coke refreshes Centenary Scout Jamboree

Coca-Cola Beverages Sri Lanka Limited, the official beverage sponsor of the 29th Asia Pacific Region (APR) and Sri Lanka Centenary Scout Jamboree said it was proud to refresh 7250 scouts participating in the Jamboree this year.

The week long Jamboree is being held at the D.S. Senanayake Vidyalaya, Kandalama and will host 750 foreign scouts and 6500 local scouts from 31 March to 7 April.

The event, which was ceremoniously opened by President Mahinda Rajapaksa, is a major scouting event which is aimed at giving additional opportunity to young people between the ages 12 to 17.

For 2012, the Sri Lanka Scout Association is hosting the 29th APR Scout Jamboree in conjunction with the 100 Years of Scouting in Sri Lanka. Present at the sponsorship event were Acting Media Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena and Special Events Manager, Coca-Cola Beverages Sri Lanka Limited Ranjith Edirisinghe.
