Delegation from Chinese Academy for Social Studies visits Sri Lanka

The Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute, in collaboration with the Regional Centre for Strategic Studies (RCSS), recently hosted a delegation from the Chinese Academy for Social Studies (CASS).
The visit, which was held at the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute, consisted of a presentation by LKIIRSS Research Analyst Chulanee Attanayake on the bilateral relationship between China and Sri Lanka. This was followed by a round table discussion on China’s relationship with South Asia as well as Sri Lanka.
The Chinese delegation comprised of six scholars from the CASS and was headed by CASS Director of International Studies Prof. Zhang Yunling. Prof. Amal Jayawardena and RCSS Executive Director Dr. Mallika Joseph were also present on this occasion.
The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) is the highest academic research organisation in the fields of philosophy and social sciences as well as a national centre for comprehensive studies in the People’s Republic of China.
