Sri Lankan-based freight company Eagle Logistics completed its eighth successful year on 20 October.
The milestone was marked with religious ceremony at the corporate office at 209 Dharmapala Mawatha, Colombo 07.
Eagle Logistics started operations in 2004 and today the company covers five locations – Colombo, Katunayake, Biyagama, Moratuwa and Homagama – with over 100 young dynamic staff.
Eagle Logistics Colombo Managing Director Asanga Weerackody said that the young staff is the strongest asset in the company and company will continue to adopt the same recruitment style which it followed during the last eight years.
“After eight years now we have a very strong and young experienced management team which is taking care of the total operation. It was a long investment in training and development of this team,” Weerakkody said.
He noted that with five offices in five different locations, Eagle Logistics is always ready to provide customers the strongest-ever integrated logistics and supply chain management service and even more.
“Holding the flagship of the global logistics network BDP International, Eagle Logistics has now emerged as one of the strongest import logistics and transportation companies in Sri Lanka. Eagle Logistics Colombo is the exclusive agent partner in Sri Lanka.
According to him, during the period of eight years, Eagle Logistics Colombo managed to get into the business of many corporate entities in Sri Lanka.
“Being in supply chain management is the newest strategy in the Sri Lankan corporate sector. Eagle Logistics helped many companies to streamline their logistics operation by offering new product like shipping desk, container management, etc.,” Weerakkody added.
