Fashion, advertising and interior leaders hail AOD graduates’ talent and international standards at

REVEAL 2012 by Sri Lanka’s International Design campus- AOD, was launched last Friday with an exclusive event. This attracted a prestigious audience of fashion, apparel, advertising, graphic/animation and print along with interior design, furniture, architecture and photography professionals who were keen to hire and engage with AOD’s impressive line-up of graduating designers.

Apparel industry veteran and Brandix CEO Ashroff Omar said that he was extremely impressed with the exhibition. “Excellent – with four exclamation marks,” said a delighted Omar in response to the AOD’s graduate work.

The noted advertising guru Bates Chairman Nimal Gunewardene stated, “Great stuff from AOD grads – we want to hire some! Glad to see AOD arranging the face of the future creative and design industries.”

The much respected Sri Lankan architect Anura Ratnavibhushana commended AOD’s enthusiasm and said that he wished the government would see AOD’s passion and potential to harness home grown creativity to benefit the nation.

Several more industry leaders and noted designers also commented on the exhibition;

“There is some amazing detail here, and the standards are absolutely in par with the international,” stated Dharshi Keertisena of Buddhi Batiks.

“The students have evolved a lot and it’s good to see some very practical work,” interior designer and hotelier Lalin Jinasena commented. Meanwhile International Advertising Association Sri Lanka Chapter Director Sheron Jayasundara said, “Very inspiring. Fantastic work from the graduates.” The exhibition continued to be open over the weekend to the general public and youth who’re interested in creative careers for their future.
