French, German and UK cultural institutes sign EUNIC Convention

The European National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) Convention was signed at the European Union Delegation between the Alliance Francaise de Kotte, Goethe Institute and the British Council on 23 October.
The signing took place in the presence of the Ambassador of the European Union Delegation, David Daly, the Ambassador of France, Jean-Paul Monchau, the Ambassador of Germany, Jürgen Morhard and the High Commissioner of the United Kingdom, John Rankin.
The Convention is aimed at strengthening cultural cooperation between the national cultural institutes of France, Germany and the United Kingdom. It will improve and promote cultural diversity, a better understanding between European societies and strengthen international dialogue as well as cultural cooperation with countries outside Europe.
