Sri Lanka’s foremost menswear specialist Hameedia unveiled ‘The Wardrobe’ with veteran cricketer Angelo Mathews at Colombo’s Crescat Boulevard amidst a gathering of top corporates, media and curious onlookers on Wednesday evening.
‘The Wardrobe,’ as the name suggests, is an entire set of clothes to meet any occasion — but what is distinctive about Hameedia’s ‘Wardrobe’ is the way in which it caters to the modern day executive without sacrificing personality or an attention to detail. Suits, shirts, pants, accessories and shoes are all included in the package.
The key factor here is time: “Customised wardrobes from Hameedia are indeed a boon to busy people like myself since we don’t have the time to shop at leisure,” said the cricketer. “Having the maestro Fouzul Hameed himself lending his international expertise in customising one’s wardrobe is definitely a boon for corporates and busy sportsmen like myself.”
‘The Wardrobe’ accommodates those who need to look their best at a moment’s notice and functions as a one-stop shop for all of one’s high-end clothing needs. Home delivery is a perk as well.“This concept is novel,” said Fouzul Hameed, pioneer of Sri Lankan fashion and designer of Envoy, Lebond and Signature brands with two decades of business experience. “We understand what men want.”
‘The Wardrobe’ can be purchased at either the ‘Platinum’ or ‘Gold’ tier. ‘Platinum’ features premium and luxury clothing on par with the best of international brands while ‘Gold’ consists of quality clothes at a lower price. Both lines feature clothes from Envoy, FH and Le Bond as well as from international brands such as Van Heusen, Louis Philippe, Park Avenue and Adidas, among others.
Hameed has extensive background with European fashion and the Hameedia brand can be found in high-end malls across the world. At home, ‘The Wardrobe’ can be experienced at the Hameedia flagship store at Galle Road, Wellawatte, where one can feel free to touch and feel the fabrics and examine each and every detail that goes into the creation of ‘The Wardrobe’.
A helpline (0777-553344) is available for prospective corporates to call and make an appointment to be outfitted.
Hameedia has a history of outfitting local and international celebrities, sports icons, politicians, diplomats and heads of state dating back to 1949.
