Harris Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd., the country’s 75-year-old market leader in decorative tools and solutions, launched its seasonal product range at the company’s World Trade Centre head office in Colombo Lastweek.
The company, which currently commands a massive 80% of the entire decorative tools market in the country demonstrated the unique characteristics of its new range which includes an array of texture based rollers and tools to empower both professional and do-it-yourself painters to be more creative with their finishes.
In addition, the company also introduced its new left and right handed brush range and a brush extension pole that extends up to 15 feet, which significantly reduces the need and cost of scaffolding.
Speaking at the event, Harris Ceylon Senior Brand Manager Rae Devadason stated: “The majority of painters specifically request homeowners to purchase a Harris brush along with paint and sandpaper in their list of requirements, because a professional always knows a perfect finish to a wall is impossible to obtain without a quality brush. This is what we offer.”
He added that: “The wow factor in a finish is what every housewife looks for and what every painter wants to hear and Harris tools are the catalyst.” Speaking on the company’s equal opportunity policy and its commitment to community upliftment, Harris Ceylon Director Lal Saranapala stated: “We are proud to have people from all walks of life and those who are differently-abled as part of our big Harris family.”
Saranapala went on to say that the company’s visually-impaired employees have shown amazing productivity levels and the company will continue to lend its support to empowering and accepting them as part of the company’s future plans.
In addition Saranapala pledged to continue with the company’s various community service projects in the locale of its production facility in Meegoda, as well as its series of islandwide painter seminars on promoting new skills and the latest development in painting technology.
