Hybrid Homes to construct multi-storey building for SLAAS

Hybrid Homes, a market leader in Hybrid Construction Technology (HCT), the latest modular construction technology that converts shipping containers and other recyclable material to eco-friendly and value for money accommodation solutions in Sri Lanka, signed an agreement with the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science (SLAAS), on 10 October, to build a multi-storey building in Vidya Mawatha, Colombo 7, Sri Lanka. Once completed, the proposed building will consist of 20,000 sq ft of office space, which will be built in two stages by Hybrid Homes. It will most likely become a landmark within walking distance of the latest shopping arcade near Independence Square. The building will be completed within a period of six months and will possess many novel features. In accordance with planner regulations, the SLAAS Hybrid building will form a continuous public arcade around the town square, while functioning as a multi-purpose office building. “The SLAAS multi-storey Hybrid building would be a milestone in our journey towards transforming the lives of Sri Lankans and today we are proud to join hands with one of the most respected and prestigious professional associations in Sri Lanka to build this unique Hybrid multi-storey facility, which will be the latest addition to the fast-changing landscape of Colombo,” said Hybrid Homes Managing Director Dharshana Fernando. “Being the market leader and exclusive franchise holder of HCT modular technology in Sri Lanka and Malaysia, Hybrid Homes has developed many different types of product and solutions using shipping container and recyclable materials.
