LTL Galvanizers Ltd., a subsidiary of LTL Holdings Ltd., has recently procured a tender to supply galvanised steel items for an electrification project in Tanzania.
The project is for supply and installation of electrical substations, low voltage lines, medium voltage lines, transformers and connection of customers in un-electrified rural areas in the Ruvuma and Shinyanga regions of Tanzania on a turnkey basis.
The total investment for fabrication and galvanising of these two lots is $ 0.2 million approximately.
Fabrication of steel components for the Tanzania project has been done with computer controlled ultra-modern equipment which LTL Galvanizers owns and operates at their modern production facility in Sapugaskande.
All the steel structures of this project have been galvanised at this galvanising facility, where the company had better control on product quality and advantage over costs.
LTL Galvanizers has now successfully completed this project helping the parent company LTL Holdings in its march of international diversification strategy, to become a regionally specialised engineering conglomerate.
Today LTL is proud to be a truly Sri Lankan company, being able to compete in the world arena, and execute heavy engineering works, and bringing in valuable foreign exchange earning to Sri Lanka.
