Nadoo Totem mark of Keliewatte estate which is owned and managed by Kotagala Plantations PLC established an all-time record price of Rs. 690 per kg for a BOPS grade in the Western High Grown Elevation Category surpassing their previous record price of Rs. 680 per kg.
This line of tea was purchased by J-Cey-Tea Ltd. Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd., the sole broker for the Keliewatte mark, conducted this sale. Keliewatte estate is a FLO certified estate, and the factory is certified under ISO 22000:2005, 9001:2008 and 14001:2004 for Food Hygiene and Management Practices in manufacture and sale of black tea. It is also an estate compliant under Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP) working towards a responsible tea industry.
