Nature’s Secrets Chairman/Managing Director Samantha Kumarasinghe had the following to say regarding the company’s Gold Award: “This award is one we are greatly proud of as it is on a subject very close to our company’s heart. Our company has always embraced nature, and since our company’s inception, we have been passionately committed towards protecting our environment and have implemented a wide variety of green initiatives. As a Sri Lankan company we are deeply honoured by the recognition we have received for our commitment towards creating a greener future for Sri Lanka.” Nature’s Secrets has also been awarded the world recognised ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System for their green environmental standards. As a company that has always embraced and thrived on research and development, Nature’s Secrets also established the first privately owned Plant Research Centre in Sri Lanka to promote research into the island’s medicinal plants. A complementary modern Plant Tissue Culture Lab has also been set up with the objective of mass propagating and distributing rare and valuable medicinal plants amongst citizens and farmers to preserve them for future generations.
