NCE workshop on ‘Asycuda World’ on 27 October

The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) in association with Shippers’ Academy Colombo (SA) will be conducting a Workshop on ‘Connecting to Customs – Asycuda World’ on Thursday, 27 October 2011 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the Sapphire Ball Room of the Ceylon Continental Hotel.  



It will be conducted by Ajantha Dias – Additional Deputy Director General of Sri Lanka Customs and his team of the Information and Communication Technology Division.

Under the Government’s e-Sri Lanka initiative, the Sri Lanka Customs is moving towards automation of its activities and are promoting the trading community to understand the concept of their new operating system.  In the coming months, applications of ‘Asycuda World’ will be introduced to the trading community.  

As such, the NCE & SA will be conducting a series of workshops to educate and train members on e-customs. The first introductory session is designed to educate on the ‘Asycuda World’ new software and web based tools for export/import entry framing; electronic manifest submissions and towards single window e-licensing other facilities.

All export companies, both direct and indirect, all other support service organisations and suppliers to industry are requested to participate at this workshop to understand the practical aspects of ‘Connecting to Customs’.
