President Maithripala Sirisena has appointed Jayantha Wijerathna, a senior officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service, as Secretary of the Ministry of City Planning and Water Supply.
He was the Commissioner of North Western Provincial Council Secretary before his appointment as Secretary of the Ministry of City Planning and Water Supply.
