Sri Lanka’s premier manufacturer of electrical and lighting products, Orange Electric has just introduced its industrial product range to Sri Lankan, South Asian and South East Asian markets simultaneously.

With this new move, Orange industrial products will support the industrial sectors of Sri Lankan, South Asian and South East Asian regions, enabling local and international industrial panel makers to meet their electrical component requirements efficiently and effectively.

The Orange industrial product components were officially launched at a grand event held at the company’s Head Office in Navinna. The event was attended by dealers and distributors of Orange industrial.

“We firmly believed that we should enter into the industrial sector in expanding our portfolio to satisfy the ever demanding need for quality industrial products. This will further strengthen the brand ‘Orange’ which has already positioned itself strongly in the market with its domestic products,” Kushan Kodituwakku, Managing Director of Orange, said addressing the launching ceremony.

With Orange launching industrial products, the company’s product portfolio expanded from domestic to  industrial applications including switches and sockets, electrical wiring cables, low voltage switch gear, data-com accessories, industrial panel boards, energy saving lamps (CFLs) and LED lamps.

Having Sri Lanka as the base, Orange will also distribute its industrial products to Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal – three vibrant South Asian markets. Also, Orel Far East, the joint venture Company in Singapore, will introduce Orange industrial products to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.

“Our industrial components are made by internationally acclaimed manufacturers who adhere to the highest quality standards. Hence, we can meet standards and requirements of any high profile consumer, local or international.”

Plans are afoot, Kodituwakku added, to take the brand ‘Orange’ into the Middle East and European regions. “We are now having discussions with our potential partners in the Middle Eastern and European regions. The discussions seem to be very positive,” he stated.

The company already exports products to over ten countries spanning four continents with a turnover of nearly Rs. 7 billion, providing employment for over 1,000 people.

“As a 100% Sri Lankan company, the company has immense faith in local talent. What we utilise here, is essentially local talent which is on par with that of any other country, he added. What we intend to do is to take Sri Lankan talent into the international domain. Our dealers and distributors who have arrived here today for the launch of this industrial product range are partners of our victorious journey.”

During the workshop, dealers of Orange Electric were demonstrated on new industrial product components launched by the company. Q&A and interactive sessions were also conducted to give them insight into the new industrial product range of Orange.

The industrial product range of Orange consists of MCCBs, 10 KA circuit breakers, contactors and relays, MCB type, offload and onload changeovers, star delta starters, and steel enclosures.
