The skyline of the ancient kingdom of Kotte is billed to change in 2018 with the launch of Alpha Homes Ltd.’s maiden real estate venture Kings’ View Residencies.
Adding lustre to the ancient royal dominion of Kotte, the ground-breaking ceremony which took place last week heralds the dawn of contemporary design that augments the true meaning of royalty with vignettes of contemporary luxury.
The 16-storey residency BOI approved comes under the aegis of Australian and US investors whose brainchild Alpha Homes is about creating liveable palaces constructed on exclusive architectural design, uncompromising quality and unsurpassed excellence.
Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony, Chairman Gehan Athale was enthusiastic about introducing a new lifestyle concept to Sri Lanka.
“It’s about living the luxurious life you deserve,” he said, “and discovering the true meaning of royalty which now comes to you at Kings’ View Residencies, with all the modern accoutrements of contemporary lifestyles blended into a comfortable home that you will never want to leave.”

As mentioned by Architect Dan Amarasekera, the Managing Director of Design One, the entire architectural concept keeps the philosophy of the Kotte kingdom in mind.
“The ancient palaces which were fortresses were surrounded by waterways and we’ve brought in this element with the fluidity seen in the flowing form of the building. The curved linear elements run across its entirety and reflects Kotte’s identity. Using natural light is also a rudiment we have introduced, while cross ventilation will be experienced throughout the living spaces. We’ve maximised on the panoramic views where even the bathrooms look out at a stunning view which can be enjoyed in a sunken tub, while the balconies double up as extended entertaining spaces and a sunshade as well.”
Alpha Homes is collaborating with C-1 graded market leader in the construction industry Maga Engineering and is using a team of eminent professionals to drive the completion of Kings’ View Residencies by 2018.
