Standing tall and stealing the skyline of Rajagiriya, the world’s tallest vertical garden is set for completion next year.

A brainchild of renowned Architect Milroy Perera, the 46-storey Clearpoint Residencies is a joint venture between Milroy Perera Associates and Maga Engineering. The residential apartment tower consists of 172 apartments comprising two, three and four bedroom luxury apartments, a limited number of penthouses and presidential suites spread across 46 floors. Located in Rajagiriya, Clearpoint is within close proximity of the central business districtyet secluded from the hustle and bustle of the city.

One of the key highlights of Clearpoint will be its planted terraces encircling the entire building. In place of regular-sized balconies, all apartments will be equipped with large terraces with self-sustaining gardens.

The building has been designed to function with sustainability at the core of its philosophy, helping to reduce the maintenance costs of the building more responsibly.

In fulfilling their clear vision of sustainable development through energy efficiency, Clearpoint has successfully joined hands with renowned manufacturer Schindler, whose high-speed Schindler 7000 series elevators will be used in the building in partnership with their Sri Lankan representative Trade Promoters Ltd.

The 7000 series boasting Schindler’s latest innovation in transit management PORT Technology will provide passengers with the best possible travel experience in the building. Schindler’s PORT Technology revolutionises the science of optimising traffic flow through the building while offering personalised service. With PORT Technology, passengers select their destination floor before entering the elevator, which allows the elevator to group passengers with similar destination floors. This innovative traffic management system eliminates heavy traffic that generally leaves passengers frustrated by reducing journey time by up to 40%. PORT Technology will provide residents with state-of-the-art touch-screen user terminals on every floor and enhanced security through an access card system.

“This will ultimately result in a far superior passenger experience for residents when travelling within the building, whilst reducing the traffic and increasing energy efficiency as well,” said Anomal de Soysa, Jt. Managing Director of Trade Promoters Ltd., the local distributor for Schindler. “This will be the first project in Sri Lanka with an elevator destination control system, and we foresee many future clients opting to install this advanced technology.”

Trade Promoters Ltd. (TPL), established in 1976, has over 175 staff and has grown steadily to develop its capabilities to support its growing line of Schindler customers. TPL’s Head Office, Workshop, Parts Center, and Training Center are located in Malabe.
