Speed Land Ltd., the newest member of Speed Group of Companies, launched its first housing development project ‘Speed City’ at Kottawa recently.
Expressing his views on the unveiling of this property and housing development project, Nishantha Delgoda, the key architect behind the founding of Speed Group of Companies said: “There is a sizable number of young executives employed in the private sector and in government institutions at different levels. Their dream is to purchase a plot of land in a suburb of Colombo and build a house they could call their own. We launched ‘Speed City’ at Kottawa to give these youngsters a viable option to realise their life-long dream.
“The Speed City Property and Housing Development Project is ideally and conveniently situated on the main route linking Homagama to Colombo. Kottawa is an environment-friendly location with all conveniences for peaceful living. Our objective is to establish the same trust and confidence in the property and housing development sector as we have done through providing safe, purified bottled water to the people of Sri Lanka for the past 15 years.

Speed City is a Property and Housing Development Project encompassing 40 plots of land with pipe-borne water, three-phase electricity, a wide network of roads and all other conveniences. It is situated in close proximity to the Kottawa entry point of the Expressway. With easy access, one can reach Colombo within a short time span.
These plots of land will be sold at prices to match the respective income levels, especially of private sector executives and the middle class. Steps have also been taken to arrange credit facilities from recognised commercial banks to prospective buyers.
