Strategic Communication Design firm WeLoveIT will launch Sri Lanka’s first-ever online designer portal ─ The Fashion Circle at a gala fashion show “The Fashion Circle Runaway Show” to be held on 7 September this year at the Mt. Lavinia Hotel.
A blend of experienced and upcoming designers including collections from Prabath Samarasooriya, Krishanthi Fernandopulle, Ramona Oshini, Lesha Hettigama, Lonali Rodrigo and Ayodha Ratnayake.
The portal brings together all fashion professionals - namely fashion designers, hair and makeup artists, models, Retail Brands, choreographers and fashion photographers in one platform. Partners include Dynamic AV – Official Audio Visual Partner, PR Wire – Official Public Relations Partner, Mt. Lavinia Hotel – Official Hospitality partner and Official Stylist – Capello Salon. The show will be choreographed by Brian Kerkoven.
Mohamed Ziham, CEO of WeLoveIT Studio and The Fashion Circle upbeat about the launch, said: “Many Sri Lankan designers gets inspired from western designers, our efforts is to portray and provide a platform for Sri Lankan designs, talent and aspirations to inspire the rest of the world through our identity, positioning a Sri Lankan fashion niche.”

In keeping this in mind, WeLoveIT Studio is pleased to present an online portal exclusively for our professionals in fashion and the future talent in the industry, sustainably.”
The portal offers the facility for registered users to showcase their portfolios online ─ be it collections of designer ware, portfolios of fashion shoots, images of hair shows/competitions, ramp and glamour shoots. The concept of the Fashion Circle is for fashion professionals to cohesively project their work and capability as Sri Lankans to a global audience. This is done with an easy-to-navigate site structure aesthetics that resonates with vibrancy.
The site will also give an opportunity for retail brands to feature and communicate its products and services providing a total solution for one’s fashion needs. It will, in the months to come, integrate the facility for fashion designers to sell their collections online.
The Fashion Circle features sub sections that features different facets in the realm of fashion. ‘Top Steels’ features the latest fashion trends, ‘Ask a Designer’ focuses Q & A session with a featured designer per month and ‘Designer Labels’ is a section that is dedicated for fashion designers to showcase their creations.
