  • With successful projects such as The Palm, Burj Khalifa, Emirates Hills and many more, The First Ferry’s latest feather in the cap is the revamped BPG – the Bates Pan Gulf Office in Dubai
The First Ferry is a Dubai based international boutique design office with offices in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and India and is known for its cutting-edge style and classy designs. The young and dynamic Interior Firm advocates a design by emotion and immersion philosophy, in contrast to the mainstream of ‘design by aesthetics’. A belief that holds true for them is that the viewer, observer and user of the space immediately become interactive with the space. By providing an opulence of style, a flamboyance of posh and a precision of design, The First Ferry has yet again created a benchmark in the industry with their recently designed extravagant BPG Group – the Bates Pan Gulf Group office in Dubai. The 16,000 sq. ft. office at one of the premium office towers in Dubai is reflective of their more than 30 years of communication leadership in the UAE. The First Ferry carefully scrutinised, evaluated and tailor designed the BPG office. The inspiration behind the BPG design concept has been BPG’s majestic journey. The First Ferry has dug into the earliest success stories of BPG, and immortalised these emotions into the design details spread throughout the project. The revamped office design metaphorically speaks of trials which have been overcome with grit and determination, and speaks of a company that has been medaled with battle scars gained from hard work. It took a little over 60 days for The First Ferry to intrinsically design + build the esteemed office that also has a presence in Middle East and are part of the WPP Group. The First Ferry Skipper and Founder Prateek Chaudhry added, “I and my team of holistic designers have worked round-the-clock to propose and implement exceptional ideas posed by unique site situations for the BPG office. The First Ferry’s dedication is visible in the level of attention to detail, craftsmanship, design rationale, and commitment which we have imbibed in the BPG office designs.” With regards to the design brief, BPG Group CEO Avi Bhojani said, “We wanted to revamp our office so that BPG’s market leadership is reflected in its corporate interior identity. Moreover, we wanted our new interiors to mirror the philosophies of keeping to the basics, dynamism, and playfulness in subliminal ways inside the office. We are extremely happy with our new office as designed by The First Ferry which truly brings out the same dynamism which can accommodate the arduous demands of tomorrow’s corporate and branding culture in the UAE, Gulf and the international advertising world.” The First Ferry has many past projects to its credit including UAE embassy in Singapore, homes at The Palm, Burj Khalifa and Emirates Hills as well as restaurants, clubs and corporate offices and aspires to be recognised as a global powerhouse of design. Another milestone has been set with the recent completion of the BGG corporate office in MAF Tower, Deira. Pioneering in the ‘playful contemporary’ design style, the project successfully addresses the design brief, and has gone further to put the a playful twist into the office concept, thereby adding a new benchmark to office design in terms of innovation, creativity, and style.
