The book ‘How Small Countries Can Compete and Grow’ is about the difficulties faced by small nations when competing with bigger nations and discusses how to overcome them. Typically small nations have a set of common problems that seem overwhelming but can be turned around to be advantageous.
They are small in terms of its physical size, have small populations and small economies and tend to be vulnerable to global warming and climate change. They also typically find it difficult to continually attract investment from overseas as they are unable to sustain large scale industries due to the small size of its domestic economies. Therefore this book will discuss practical matters a small country could execute to achieve and maintain competitive advantage. The book is also available for purchase, contact The Management Club for more details 5860000.
President Prakash thanked Wickramasinghe for his generous gesture in donating the book to TMC, which will be made available in the library for members’ reading pleasure.
