Training seminar on ‘Commercial Hub Regulations of Sri Lanka and the Free Port Concept’

The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) which is the only private sector chamber serving exporters regularly conducts training seminars and workshops on export related subjects which are of benefit to exporters.
In keeping with the responsibility of the chamber to exporters to make them aware of current developments in the field of exports and investments related to exports, the chamber proposes to conduct the above training seminar.
The following main aspects will be covered in the seminar:
Entreport Trade involving imports (minor processing) and exports.
Offshore business where goods can be procured from one country (or manufactured in one country) and shipped to another country without entering Sri Lanka.
Provision for front end services to overseas clients.
Operation of Head Quarters of leading buyers for the Management of Finance Supply Chains and billing operations.
Logistics Services related to bonded warehouses or operation of multi country consolidation.
Specialist officials from the BOI, SLPA and Sri Lanka Customs will be the resource persons for the seminar to disseminate the operational aspects related to the Free Port Concept and the opportunities that are available to exporters.
The half day seminar will be conducted by the chamber at its auditorium at No. 532/4 K, Sirikotha Lane, Colombo 3 on 30 October 2013 commencing at 8:30 a.m. Participation will be limited to 35 on a first come first served basis.
