Marking another milestone, Wurth Lanka launched its second exclusive brand shop in Negombo recently. The Wurth brand shop was launched with the objective of catering vehicle lovers, craftsmen, engineers and contractors in the fast developing coastal and tourist town with a well established vehicle sales hub where business is very brisk.

Customers can walk into the brand shop to experience the entire range of Wurth products and pick up any item as per their requirement.

The event was marked by the visit of the Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Nalinda Mahavithane of the Katunayake base, and accommodated by many of Wurth’s loyal customers supporting and witnessing the opening of the new Wurth brand shop.

Wurth Lanka is a fully own subsidiary of Wurth International, AG and belongs to Adolf Wurth GmbH, Germany, the parent company of the Wurth Group. Wurth is a nine billion euro company and one of the largest international trading companies with more than 400 subsidiaries in 83 countries.

With over 65,000 employees worldwide, Wurth has the largest direct sales force in order to be closer to its customers. “The Wurth motto — we love selling and we inspire our customers, drives everything that we do. We sell Wurth products which conform to international quality standards and offer a service on par with international standards to our esteemed customers in Sri Lanka,” said Wurth Lanka Managing Director Rohan Amirthiah.

“Wurth products are sold to automotive after-markets, construction and maintenance industries ranging from tools, performance chemicals, adhesives, fasteners and much more,” he added.

The company was established in Sri Lanka in 1998, with one employee, and currently employs 65 permanent employees. During the last 12 years, Wurth has become a top quality supplier in the markets it operates in such as the automotive after-markets, construction and maintenance and metal trade. In the future, cargo, wood, and industrial sectors will be explored as a strategy for growth.

Plans are underway to open similar Wurth Brand shops or Pick up shops, around the island to be closer to the customers. In Germany alone, Wurth has over 300 pick-up shops/branch outlets and Wurth Lanka just opened its second pick up shop.

Craftsmen, in Europe are the carpenters, electricians, plumbers, fabricators, builders, or any other small engineering shops. They make their purchases for the day by visiting Wurth pick up shops.

In Sri Lanka, they would visit the Hardware stores, for their silicones, drill bits, few tools and so on. By opening brand shops, Wurth Lanka now offers a place to buy high quality products, pay cash and pick it up on their way to the work site.

Registered customers of Wurth Lanka who are currently being serviced by the direct sales force too could pick up their requirements of Wurth products at their contracted prices on credit from the brand shops.

Furthermore, car enthusiasts too can pick up DIY products from the brand shops.
