Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider partnered Samsung Sri Lanka to enable all Samsung Galaxy S21 flagship series users to experience the power of 5G through their devices on Dialog’s 5G trial network, the first of its kind in South Asia.
Dialog extended an open invitation to its valued customers to explore the unique capabilities of 5G technology at 75 site locations island-wide, including Galle Face Area, Kollupitiya, Rajagiriya, Peliyagoda, Rathmalana, Kandy, and more. Customers can visit www.dialog.lk/5g to stay updated as Dialog expands its 5G trial network into more areas. When a user is in range of one of these 75 site locations, they will be automatically connected to Dialog’s 5G trial network. 5G connectivity offers faster speeds and lower latency for end consumers, as well as limitless opportunities to automate industrial and home environments.

Dialog’s 5G trial network follows previous 5G milestones by the company including, demonstration of a fully standards-based 5G mobile service for the first time in South Asia, the first 5G showcase in South Asia, the demonstration of South Asia's fastest 5G mobile speeds in 2019, and the first standards-based 5G fixed-wireless pilot transmission in December 2018.
