SereniaLtd. and its board of directors together with Access Projects and Project Consultants ceremoniously broke ground to kick off the construction of Serenia Residences at a special ground-breaking ceremony in Talpe, Galle.
The ground-breaking ceremony saw SereniaLtd. and its board of directors together with Access Projects Managing Director Dilshan Ferdinando and a-design studio Project Architect Roshun Meezan along with more than 40 project consultants, engineers and bankers on site in Talpe.
Executive Director – Strategic Design and Marketing Sabina Karunanayake said: “Serenia’s first residential launch has been an overwhelming success, recording strong investor response from local and international investors. We are now commencing the construction of Serenia.”
Sabina went on to say that the plan was one of simple elegance, with stunning ocean views and spacious terraces, set to evoke the sense of being one with blue sky and life-giving ocean.
The Lankan Rs. 2 billion Serenia upscale development is the only beachfront residential project in close proximity to Galle, being a mere 8km from the Galle Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, filled with shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. It is also just 2 km away from the famed tourist resort of Unawatuna.
The project includes 47 homes out of which 42 homes are two and three-bedroom condominiums that cost between $ 280,000 and $ 522,000, ranging from 1,360 sq. ft. to 1,850 sq. ft.
There are five upscale ultra-luxury units of which two are garden villas with direct beach access, while of the three penthouses which are equipped with private rooftops, only one remains!
Access projects Ltd., a top Tier 1 construction firm, has been selected for this mixed-use project on the Southern Coast by Serenia as they felt it was important to have the right construction firm on-board from day one.
Access Projects Managing Director Dilshan Ferdinando said, “What you see in a building is not actually what goes on inside the building. Our specialty is being able to build on the beach. Being on the beach means corrosion and we are specialists in building hotels which are free of corrosion, and that’s what we are going to deliver to our client, Serenia Residences. This project is a winner all the way and the fact that it is only 47 residences, ground+8 and ground+9 floors, makes it absolutely doable and very successful.” Access Projects is a Tier 1 construction company and they are experts in building oceanfront high-end boutique properties, including Cape Weligama and Anantara Resort and Spa, as well as the refurbished oceanfront Galle Face Hotel in Colombo. Located at 724 Galle-Matara road, the 182 perch beachfront curved land offers one of the most beautiful views of the sunrises and sunsets on the ‘Million Dollar Mile’, which contain some of the most expensive beachfront villas and elegant boutique hotels in Sri Lanka. The project will include Talpe’s first 6,000 sq. ft. pool which is divided into four areas, catering to families, couples and cabana gatherings, while a high-end spa, fitness centre and boutique hotel services, are just some of the luxurious amenities offered by Serenia. The project is expected to be completed by the December 2019.
