Archfest 2018, an exhibition showcasing the life and work of late Architect Valentine Gunasekara, and organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects began on Monday and will be held until 5 October at the Western Province Aesthetic Resort (NADA), Colombo.
The exhibition is open to the public from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
There will be a lectureon each day of the exhibition by Archt. Surendranath Gunasekara, Archt. Suchith Mohotti AIA (SL), Archt. Michele Fonseka FIA (SL), Archt. Anusha Rajapakhsa AIA (SL)and Archt. Madhura PrematillekaFIA (SL),respectively. There will also be special movie screenings from 2-5 October, and the line-up includes‘The Modern Times’, ‘Mon Oncle’, ‘Play Time’ and ‘The Metropolitan’.
Organised by Chairman Archt. Ranjana SuraweeraFIA (SL) the team of the Board of Architectural Publications (BAP), of Sri Lanka Institute of Architect (SLIA) under the supervision of the SLIA President Archt. D.H. Wijewardene FIA (SL), the event would be curated by Archt. Dr. Nishan Rasanga Wijetunge AIA (SL).
