Chamber of Constr-uction Industry of Sri Lanka (CCI) last week signed an MOU with the Industrial Cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan of Russian Federation, in the presence of the Ambassador of Russia Levin S. Dzhagarayan, Ministry of Industries Secretary Thilaka Jayasundara, and Board of Investment DG Renuka Weerakoon.
With this agreement there will be closer cooperation on bilateral trade and investments between the two countries.
“More importantly, possibility of our companies collaborating with Russian companies to undertake projects is to be explored. As Russia is very keen to invest in Sri Lanka with the potential to export to India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, we have to make the best use of this opportunity,” a spokesman for CCI said.
