Raising the bar higher for excellence in the field of customer satisfaction, application of exemplary facility management practices with a commitment to protect the health and safety of the community at large, Facilities Management Integrated has set the benchmark with its achievement of two ISO certifications.
Facilities Management Integrated (FMI) has now been awarded ISO 9001:2015 by Bureau Veritas Certification for its management system and ISO 45001:2018 certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management System by the world-renowned certification body.
“We as a team are extremely proud to be honoured as the first IMS certified Facilities Management Company in Sri Lanka. The path for obtaining this prestigious certification was pretty exciting as we knew that we are going to show our credibility and desire for delivering the best to our customers. Now our goal is to constantly maintain and improve the earned respect,” said FMI Head of Quality Assurance Januka Kularathna.
Both the ISO certifications confirm FMI’s commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, safety and continuous improvement. ISO 9001:2015 meanwhile is the most recent adaptation of the well renowned global standard that provides the framework for the company-wide quality management systems (QMS).
“When a standard is followed, it also implies that good practices, particularly exemplary facilities management practices, which directly improves customer satisfaction and enhancing asset management is inculcated,” said FMI Director Dr. Manish Shrivastava. “Multinationals and global companies are looking for conformity of these practices in local home-grown companies, which by default gives FMI an added advantage.” He explained that at FMI, it is not merely a certification, but the demonstration of an attitude towards sustainable change. Managing Director Phiroze Pestonjee said, “Facility management is often a responsibility to property owners and the cost of handling these services internally can accrue many expenses and inefficiencies while also requiring significant coordination. However, FMI provides a total solution that is not only cost effective but also makes property owners stress free. Our highly trained FMI team comes with the guarantee of delivering higher efficiencies and professionalism.”
Drawing on this experience and capacity, the organisation offers a single stop ‘Facilities Management Integrated’ services, which is designed to seamlessly integrate with operations and processes of local business and services through Facilities Management Integrated Ltd.
